"Two brothers, with a passion for photography!"

Dennis Custers (1989)
My name is Dennis Custers and I was born on the 12th of march 1989. Since summer 2013 I can proudly call myself the owner of a DSLR camera. In the first place, I bought it to take nifty snapshots during holidays, but soon I started to realize there was so much more to capture. Therefore I came in touch with Urbex photography; the art behind photographing abandoned and trashed structures. I began reading on several forums and I encountered a well known person in the Urbex-scene. Besides that I love thrills and sensations, which you'll see back in this part of photography. Exciting is getting to places prohibited for open public to the outside world and capture some delightful images revealing the history behind these mysterious locations. That was when I knew it: I wanted to do Urbex photography!

Yoerie Custers (1992)

Hello, I’m Yoerie Custers (1992) from Maastricht. Because of my study in InteriorDesign, I often had to fiddle around with DSLR camera’s. I quickly got the hang of its usage, and I came in the possession of a Nikon D3100 camera, a lightweight, easy to carry around camera with lots of options. It all started with landscape shots. From delicate flowers, glowing in the colors of dawn, to dark, gloomy nights during chilly winter days. I also had an interest for taking portraits. However when fall came Urbex photography caught my eye. I gathered information by purchasing and reading books on the subject, as well as interviewing experienced ‘Urban Explorers’. That was when I first started trying for myself, freeing the little boy in me that had always excitedly conquered desolate places joyously admiring the history behind architectural feats. The eye for detail and the kick of doing what is entering prohibited property is what sells it for me. And I continue doing what I did since I was a little boy: beholding past glory!
